Nahuel Schajris

Nahuel Schajris first met Anandagiri ( Shri Bhagavan's disciple ) when both of them where in their teens.Nahuel's mother met Bhagavan and dasas in mid 1990's, when she was making a documentary film in India. She was so touched by them that she visited Anandagiri to visit their family in Argentina. As soon as the young monk arrived he formed a bond with her son Nahuel. They were around the same age. " I developed a great friendship with Anandagiri " recalls Nahuel. "I suddenly felt that he was my brother ,he was my teacher and he was the best friend in the whole world. That was the first experience for me the experience of real friendship with someone." When Anadagiri came to town, Nahuel would go out in the evening and play music in the local town and restaurents to make enough for them to eat. L ater Nahuel traveled to India and met Amma and Bhagavan in person for the first time. " I think music can help share the message of awakening and oneness to reach more people.I think it could be a good instrument to share all these in a good way." Bhagavan looked quizzically at Nahuel " do you think music can help to spread awakening?" There was a silence." Okay " he said " lets do it "

As he returned home he found he could easily invoke presence to write songs . He formed partnership with his friend Leo to write songs for other singers. They wrote one and thirty songs in one and half months. Things did not work out so well selling these songs to other artists so they formed their own band, Sin Bandera. Their first song was signed by Sony and has now two millions copies. They have recorded three albums since then and had won Latin Grammy two years in a row.
